Doped Near Dense Silica Monoliths

The sol-gel process offers the possibility to incorporate many different constituents into the glass matrix.  These include both organic molecules and other metal oxides and elements.  Particular examples above include near dense silica doped with 4% erbium (left) and 10% iron (right). Other potential examples of dopants include common metals like copper, chrome and cobalt.  Rare earth elements, such as erbium, holmium, and neodymium, are other examples of dopants that may be used in the process.

We wish to work with you to produce the glass composition and design that is best for your application or experiment.  Please contact us to discuss a solution to your doped glass monolith needs.
